Finally Back at School!!!

Wow, this week has been so annoying...

Unfortunately my 1 year old daughter came down with Chicken Pox! Yip you know what that means! no school.. have to stay home & look after her. I was so scared my self because i did not know wether or not i would catch it too. But luckily i didnt. Apparently i've already had it before when i was a baby.

Sooo, a whole week at home doing nothing, i couldnt go to school & prepare for my next assignment, & i also couldnt go down to hamilton on a thursday to interview someone about the Koroneihana. But what i did manage to do is interview someone over the phone who happened to be at the Koroneihana the day before!!! Boy was i happy!

So i got my tape recorder, put the phone on speaker & away we went!

The sound was that great but atleast i have something!!

WELL!!!

WELL! last week was GREAT!

I went to school everyday last week!!!please a round of applause would be great!lol

Not only that, i realy knuckled down on my assignment! more like the night before the due date!hahaha. But hay i work better under pressure. Im sure someone out there can relate!
On this topic, i think i have a teacher that is very unprofessional!

He tells us off in front of guests, talks alot about himself & doesnt know how to keep quiet when others are talking! Also after what i thought was an awesome class debate (Assignment) He totally turned it into a negative thing by saying we were not prepared! He should have been happy we even showed up that day! And PARTICIPATED in his STUPIT assignment!

Well thats my week.

Just Smile & nod Smile & nod. My mum says.

Back to Kura!!!

The Maori Media & language Course at M.I.T started strong at the starting of the year
Awesome Powhiri, awesome kai afterwards, full Class, great teacher alot of Smiles every where
you looked.
A couple of weeks later i noticed more & more students dropping out of class. We saw how much of a Blabber mouth our teacher was, & how there were no more smiles around the class room. Instead there were searious faces working hard to complete there assignments before the due date...

Well that was last Semester. And now there are 11 talented & hard working students left, going hard for what they believe in.

I now realise that graduation is approaching nearer every day. And i dont want to walk up to that stage to recieve my Certificate & think to myself... "Did i make the most of it? Could i have worked abit harder?"

I've learnt alot more then i ever knew about 'The Treaty of Waitangi', 'Te Reo Maori' & our history...etc....etc....

One of my learning Methods is Evaluation. To do so i like to research ptions, i like to compare notes with other people in my class & i also like to talk about it! I find when i do this the subject seems to make more sence to me.

I like to reconfirm with my teacher that what ive just heard is correct. And like to ask questions which is a form of reconfirming... I may go out of my way to research information, So you see that im generally a perfectionist, therefore very positive, & very keen to get the job done.

But First & foremost my most primary skill is my Reo Maori. Im good with Computers which is helpfull when we get assignments that must be completed on Computer. I enjoy writting, & have no fear talking to strangers.
My learning style is that i am audio & visual. But it would be good to try options of kinesthetic or tactile.

I think knowing your strengths & Weaknesses in how you learn is a big thing. Because then you know your limits to learning. If you are confident in yourself when it comes to work tasks go hard but always go over it again, & make it just as better as the first draft you did. There are no limits when it comes to doing better & greater things. And if you struggle abit, dont hessitate to ask anyone for help...

Kiaora, Noho Ora Mai...
